Summary
Teased on the officialEnshroudedTwitter account, the newest area to explore will be Blackmire. No additional information was included, aside from the accompanying image relating to the entrance of the area. This will be the second large content update forEnshrouded.
Enshroudedis a survival crafting game that released in Early Access in January 2024. Accompanying the launch wasEnshrouded’s roadmap for future content, including new biomes, enemies, and instanced dungeons.

Teased in a tweet on May 30, Keen Games posted a screenshot with the description noting the area is called Blackmire, one not currently inEnshrouded’s Embervale world. Only the entrance to the new biome was shown in the screenshot, though it’s stated to be well hidden. There are three fanged statues in front of an arched opening, and the location is filled with vegetation. This seems like it could be an offshoot of the Revelwood or Nomad Highlands. Whether it’s a fully realized area or a sub-region like the Low Meadows hasn’t been confirmed.
Blackmire Biome Teased for Next Update in Enshrouded
Follow-up comments on the thread by the social media team confirm the update is coming in June, with the name of it revealed on their TikTok and YouTube channels. Looking at their YouTube Shorts, viewers can see the name Melodies of the Mire on thedagger video. Daggers, a highly requested weapon by the community, are coming in the next content update. While most likely optimized forrangers inEnshrouded, daggers are a universal weapon in many fantasy settings.
Melodies of the Mire is the second large content update forEnshroudedafter Hollow Halls, which introduced instanced dungeons of various levels. New enemies and items are found within the dungeons, but many players were still waiting for content that expanded the game world itself. According to discussions in the official Discord before the title was released, the goal was to double the early access launch map size by the time the full release came.
No information on a release date for Melodies of the Mire has been confirmed. Neither has any additional content, such as potential new enemies or unique resources that can be found in the swamp region, or quality of life changes that may be made. Keen Games hasn’t noted its participation in Summer Game Fest 2024, but it could appear during the event with more details on the content update.
