Like other open world games,Elden Ringis not without its fair share of bugs and glitches. Likewise, as with other games,Elden Ringbugs and glitches can range from extremely frustrating to hilarious depending on the situation and outcome.
A great example of this would be theElden Ringrotted dog glitch, which was most prevalent in the region of Caelid. For some reason, the scarlet rotted dogs in the area were able to one-shot pretty much any player, ignoring their buffs, resistances, and armor in the process. Other glitches, such as Torrent becoming stuck in mid-air or players finding themselves dead to an enemy clipping through a wall are other examples.

However, a glitch on the more hilarious side recently showed up on the internet, bringing laughs along with it. The clip shows a player climbing up a ladder and, as they reach the top, getting hit by a katana ash of war. However, instead of making contact, the player swinging instead launches themselves off the side of the rampart, killing themselves. What’s worse and made the situation even funnier was that the player who fell was the host, meaning everyone was immediately kicked out. Much like theinvincible Malenia glitch inElden Ring, for some reason the ladder player was completely unaffected.
That ladder player was Reddit user dat_bass2, who took the video as well as offering a title of advice: do not use an attack that lunges forward while aimed at a ladder. However, it didn’t seem like the host was ready to make contact with dat_bass2 only to phase through their body and end up falling off themselves; first of all, it makes no sense, and secondly, the ladder should have stopped the host from flying off. However, like theElden Ringcomet azur glitchthat turns the spell into a machine gun spray of lasers, it is safe to assume that ladders are not fool-proof.
Reddit users were left laughing by the clip, with many posting jokes about the poor host’s demise. One user noted that the host died like they were in a cartoon, referencing the fact that the host fell off the side of the rampart as well as the fact they ended up on the other side of their target like a scene out of Roadrunner. Another user joked that the incident was certainly a Wile E. Coyote moment, once again referencing Roadrunner. Yet another user joked that the host was the smartest Katana user, poking fun at both them and the builds in general.
While it is true that katanas are some of the best weapons in the game, that didn’t stop the host from clipping to their unfortunate death. Instead, as opposed to an extremelypatientElden Ringrune farming hunter, the host managed to turn themselves into a meme straight out ofLooney Tunes.
Elden Ringis available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
