The new trailer showed off a lot of new details about both gameplay and the story in the next entry from storied studio FromSoftware. Excitement about the game has been through the roof for fans that have been waiting to see more ofElden Ring. It has had an interesting side effect though, as renewed excitement aboutElden Ringhas spilled over into hope for the long-requested PC and PS5 ports forBloodborne.
Bloodborneis one of the most popular in the lineage of FromSoftware games. It was a unique direction for the studio, with the introduction of firearms and a focus on more fast-paced combat in its gameplay, and an even darker atmosphere thanDark Souls. Now thatonline communities have been exploding aboutElden Ring, a renewed call for ports ofBloodbornehas come from those same communities. The requests for a 60 FPS version ofBloodbornehave been long unanswered, but the surprise ofElden Ring’snew trailer have helped spark hope for those fans.

Fans have been hoping for a PC port for some time. WhileBloodborneis hailed among fansfor its story and gameplay, it certainly has some technical issues that can bog down the experience. Framerate drops are the biggest issue for the game, so many fans have been hoping for a PC (and now PS5) port of the game to address those issues and create a smoother experience overall.Bloodborne’s combat is visceral and swift, so seeing the game run at a higher framerate is something many fans want to see. Friday’sElden Ringreveal has renewed those hopes for many.
Elden Ring’s newest trailersparked new calls forBloodbornein many online communities. It had become almost a running gag on many subreddits thatElden Ringwasn’t even a real game, merely an elaborate prank by FromSoftware to tease fans. AfterElden Ringsurprised fans with the new reveal, which was fairly extensive as well, those same communities began sharing jokes about maybe now the other impossible would come true andBloodbornewould finally receive its long-due port. Dozens of memes were posted about hope for the fan-favorite game to finally receive a port.
As for now, FromSoftware hasn’t announced any official plans to bringBloodborneto PC or PS5, but that hasn’t stopped fans from hoping for it. The popularity ofBloodbornehasn’t waned much since its release, still maintaining an active player base and online communities.
