Elden Ringmay have many challenging bosses, but Malenia, Blade of Miquella is undoubtedly the most difficult enemy in the game. Recently, anElden Ringplayer shared a clip of their group’s failure to defeat her, with the video serving as a clear reminder of just how dangerous the Blade of Miquella can be.
WithElden Ringbeing out for a few months now, players are coming up with ways to make the fight against Malenia a lot less painful. These include the surprisingly effectivePizza Cutter, giving a Mimic a cannon, and the tried and true Rivers of Blood build. However, just because players have come up with some effective strategies does not mean Malenia is any less challenging, as she proved to be too much for one group of gamers to handle.

The clip in question comes from Reddit user crmnIJN, and while they do admit that they feel bad for the host player, they cannot deny that this failure is one ofmany funnyElden Ringmoments. While the group has a solid plan of attack, as they are tearing into Malenia with the deadly Rivers of Blood, she hits back hard once 1/3 of her health is removed. However, instead of using her powerful Waterfowl Dance to decimate the group, she chooses to take them out with a more stylish maneuver.
Outside of Waterfowl Dance, the most dangerous attack in Malenia’s first phase is a grab attack that sees her lifting the player, tossing them in the air, and impaling them on her sword. While this is an eye-catching way to kill even one player, it turns out that Malenia can do this grab to multiple players at the same time. Gamers have shown off footage of theCleanrot Knight doing a double grab, but Malenia takes things to the next level by picking up all three players at once. Seeing the whole party tossed into the air is shocking, as is the moment where they are stabbed.
Only crmnIJN survives this impaling, with the other two players dying at the exact same time. Unsurprisingly, this clip has been a massive hit with Reddit, getting over 6,000 upvotes and many entertaining comments. Some players say she turned the group intoTarnishedkabobs, while others pointed out that this was basically a Vigor check to see who had the necessary level of health for the fight. ColonelJinkuro raised an interesting question, as they pondered whether it is even worth summoning for Malenia since she heals when dealing damage.
While players could always run into a powerful co-op ally likeLet Me Solo Her, calling upon less-skilled players would surely make Malenia harder instead of easier. Regardless, co-op play results in amazing moments like this, so it is hard to discourage it.
