The meta problems inCall of Duty: Warzonehave been well-documented, with the game almost always having an overpowered weapon available to use at any given time. The latest weapon to fill that position is the AUG, with popular content creator Dr Disrespect declaring that he has seen enough of the gun withinCall of Duty: Warzone.
This is not the first time that Dr Disrespect has been critical ofCall of Duty: Warzone. In the past, he has called for Gulag changes, shared his dislike for the zipline mechanics seen in the game, and complained about the quality of Season 2. As far as metas go, The Two Time was alsovocal about the MAC-10and DMR 14 meta, calling out the weapons for ruining the fun of the battle royale game. However, the streamer believes that the latest meta is even worse.

Currently,the AUG Tactical RiflefromCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris dominating within nearly everyCall of Duty: Warzonelobby. The clear best weapon of Season 2, it is impossible to avoid, with the AUG’s absurd damage output angering fans. In his most recent stream, Dr Disrespect got into a debate with duos partner ZLaner about the AUG being so “broken” that it is worse than the DMR 14. According to Dr Disrespect, the gun is “not designed for the tech of the engine” andCall of Duty: Warzone’s “12 tick servers.”
Dr Disrespect likely knows what he is talking about when it comes to this issue. The streamer’s history with game development is well-documented, as the Docworked with Sledgehammer Gamesto help create several maps forCall of Duty: Advanced Warfare. As such, his argument that there is “something technically wrong” with including this build of the AUG in the game seems sound. While ZLaner still stood by the claim that the DMR was worse, Dr Disrespect shared an example of why the AUG is so unfair.
In the description, someone with an AUG killed Dr Disrespect as he was strafing behind a truck. The Two Time had no time to react, however, as it only took two bursts from the weapon to take him down. In fact, the weapon killed him so quickly that he did not even have the chance to receive information that he was being shot, as he went from standing up with full armor to being downed instantly. This issue has been pointed out by several other players, as the currentTTK inCall of Duty: Warzoneseems far too fast for a battle royale game.
Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when the AUG’s reign of terror will come to an end. Part of what madethe DMR 14 metaso troublesome was how long it lasted, though with the AUG being the top-tier gun for a few weeks now, this meta is quickly approaching that same longevity.
