Players have a variety of tools at their disposal to freely use inDisney Dreamlight Valley. Most activities require a specific tool, like Mining requires the Royal Pickaxe and Gardening requires both the Royal Shovel and the Watering Can.Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Timeintroduces a new tool called theRoyal Hourglass.
As players have guessed from the name, the Royal Hourglass allows the wielder to manipulate time and space to restore certain items. Dreamers can also use it to search for treasures in any area within Eternity Isle or the Dreamlight Valley.
How To Unlock The Royal Hourglass In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To unlock the Royal Hourglass, players must unlock Eternity Isle and complete a couple of Quests, including:
Port of Many Worldsrequires a series of Quests of its own inDisney Dreamlight Valley, as it’s the main mission to unlock Eternity Isle. Upon arriving in The Docks Biome, Jafar speaks with the players via a Hologram Station and givesThe Secrets of Eternity IsleQuest, where Dreamers must collect two halves of the Ancient Orb to fully unlock the Ancient’s Landing Gate.
As forThe Flying Metal NuisanceQuest inDisney Dreamlight Valley, completing it unlocks Eve and the Royal Hourglass tool. To complete it, players must convince Eve that they are a friend by wearing an old robot costume and cooking a special meal known asthe Best Fish Forever inDisney Dreamlight Valley. After that, give the dish to the White Robot and retrieve the Hourglass tool.

There are many features introduced with the Royal Hourglass tool inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
Find Hidden Treasures
Equip the Royal Hourglass and pressSpaceorLeft Mouse Buttonon the PC to use it and release some sand that will point players to a specific location.Keep following the sand and watch it changefrom blue to yellow, and then finally redas Dreamers get closer to the treasure. Once they are close enough, a gold swirl of sand will appear and players must press the action button (SpaceorEon PC) repeatedly to claim the artifact.
Take Advantage Of Time Rifts
Sometimes, while exploring the areas, Dreamers will encounter a floating time sphere. Approach it and use the Hourglass tool on it to open a time rift. Usually, players have to walk a considerable distance while using the Royal tool to obtain an artifact. However, in the limited circle of the time rift, it’s possible to locate countless treasurers during a certain time. Be careful while inside the rift, asstepping out of the circle before the timer ends will lead to its disappearance before collecting available treasures.
Use Timebending Table
Some of the items found using the Royal Hourglass areTimebending artifacts that can be used to create special itemsusing the Timebending Table. Dreamers can create furniture, wallpaper, and even flooring for more variety while building.
How To Upgrade The Royal Hourglass Tool In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To upgrade the Royal Hourglass tool, players must collect 5000 Mists and use it at the Timebending Table. Many rewards will be unlocked, including the Royal Hourglass Potion which allows dreamers to remove Large Swirling Sands.
