Cooking is important inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and there are over one hundred recipes for players to experiment with using ingredients found around the Biomes. Ingredients include things such as fish, spices, fruits, and vegetables. Unfortunately, not all ingredients grow in Biomes. For example, Potatoes are versatile vegetables used in several meals but aren’t found naturally in the valley.

Since many of the meals made with Potatoes are 3-Star or higher, players can get quite a boost to their energy meter from eating them. If their energy meter is already full, it will refill a second time in yellow when they eat a cooked meal which grants the Well-Fed Bonus. The Well-Fed Bonus allows players to hover, find more items when collecting, and generally move faster. So, Potatoes are good to have inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and this guide covers where to get them.
How to Get Potatoes in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Potatoes are only found in Goofy’s food stall inthe Forgotten Lands Biome. The Forgotten Lands are in the northwest corner of the valley near the Sunlit Plateau, and both are locked behind giant night thorns. The Sunlit Plateau’s entrance is right next to the player’s home at the beginning of the game. To remove the night thorns blocking the Sunlit Plateau, they must give Merlin 7,000 Dreamlight.
Dreamlight is earned by doing daily Dreamlight Duties,digging up glowing areasaround the valley, and removing small night thorns. Players will also get Dreamlight by doing activities like mining, fishing, harvesting plants, or completing friendship quests with villagers. After unlocking the Sunlit Plateau, the next step is to get access to the Forgotten Lands.
The Forgotten Lands arewest of the Elephant Graveyardin the Sunlit Plateau. The entrance to the Forgotten Lands is up a hill in the far left corner of the Graveyard, and it costs 15,000 Dreamlight to remove the giant night thorn blocking it.
To get Potatoes, unlock Goofy’s Stall in the Forgotten Lands by paying Scrooge 5,000 Star Coins. Then, players can buy Potatoes andPumpkin Seeds after the initial repair. Finally, for another 12,500 Star Coins, the stall can be upgraded to have Potato Seeds and Pumpkins.
What to Use Potatoes for in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Potatoes are worth 126 Star Coins and give players 113 energy when eaten raw. They are used in many recipes and may be requested by the villagers either as a gift, during a friendship quest, or in Remy’s Restaurant. See below for more information onmeals cooked with Potatoes:
