6Demon Hunter
It’s not a surprise that the crossbow-totingDemon HunterofDiablohas become a standout hit due to their sheer badass aesthetic. This is on top of their technical toolkit that emphasizes a combination of traps, mobile tactics, and neat-looking abilities to prove that a mere mortal can receive enough military training to kill demons without magical abilities.
These elements translate into aDiablo ImmortalClass that compensates for its lack of durability with high mobility and consistent single-target damage. With the right rotations and positioning,the Demon Hunter ofDiablocan banish demons back to the Burning Hells without them being able to strike back. However, their lack of sustains and AOE damage make them PVP-unviable, requiring a bit of effort and technical prowess to function in Battlegrounds.
5Monk
The Veradani or the Monksof Ivgorod are holy warriors secluded in the mountainous city-state of the same name, honing their minds, bodies, and souls to resist corruption while upholding the balance between order and chaos. TheMonkofDiablo Immortalis a disciple of Sky Goddess Inna, sent to the town of Wortham to investigate its rising darkness that threatens to engulf it the same way the Hells have engulfed Tristram years before.

The innate speed of the Monk and their martial prowess, especially with the rightDiablo Immortalitem sets, allow them to outpace and outhit demons before they even retaliate, making thisDiabloClass a delight to use in both visuals and technicals. Their emphasis on hit-and-run tactics - mostly possible thanks to their keen mobility - make them great dealers of AOE damage. However, their lack of single-target strength makes them tough to build for PVP engagements.
4Wizard
The insular nation of Xiansai housed families that continuously compete for supremacy in the kingdom, with theWizardofDiablo Immortalbeing a demonstration of spellcasting prodigies present on the island that are often scouted by the Yshari Sanctum. Known to be naturally stylish and sassy as they are talented, the Wizard’s mastery of the elements can prove to be a demon’s undoing in combat.
Considered the more “scholarly” version of the Sorceress inDiablo 2, theWizard ofDiablo Immortalalso boasts the familiar tri-element toolkit where they’re able to dish out elemental attacks that can burn, freeze, and shock opponents in a multitude of ways. Their squishy nature and emphasis on AOE make them a great Class for PVE, but the Class only gains PVP viability once players are able to master their rotations. When trained properly, the Wizard is capable of stopping enemies in their tracks and dishing out mean AOE attacks to finish the job.
3Necromancer
Unlike popular culture that depicts theNecromanceras evil beings, the Necromancer ofDiablolore are students of Rathma who realized a war far greater than the Eternal Conflict. They realized that the best way to live life is to understand the balance between life and death, practicing a similar craft as that of themysterious entity known as Trag’Oul. Due to this unique practice, Necromancers have often been depicted as malicious - as who else would dare attempt mastery over death than evil beings, right? For the Necromancer, this is a matter of salvation.

Arguably a standout since their first appearance inDiablo 2, theDiabloversion of the Necromancer already makes for a potent PVE specialist due to their versatile take on minion summoning, debuffs, and natural damage options. However, the Necromancer can be properly tinkered with to easily overwhelm enemies in PVP fights, with minions being tailored specifically to tank for the Necromancer as they dish out a wide variety of debilitating curses.
2Barbarian
While a group of adventurers defeated Prime Evil Ba’al inDiablo 2: Lord of Destruction, this victory came at the cost of Mount Arreat which theBarbariantribes protect given its housing of the Worldstone. While sharing the same blood as their Druid companions, the Children of Bul-Kathos differ from the nature masters among Vasily’s ilk in that the Barbarians honed their bodies to be proof that physical strength and strength of will are enough to defeat demonkind.
At its core, the iteration of theBarbarian in theDiablogamecan easily dominate PVP due to its heavy emphasis on speed and DPS. Its toolkit takes full advantage of the game’s cooldown and mobility emphasis, with its various rotations giving players the ability to dish out both high single-target and decent AOE damage against players in both normal and team fight settings.
1Crusader
The knightlyCrusaderfirst appeared inDiablo 3as a representative of the various warriors who took up arms and military training to protect their respective kingdoms against the threat of demons. While the Crusader inDiablolore has been riddled with controversy regarding corruption, the Crusader inDiablo Immortalis one of few uncorrupted knights who chose to head to Wortham to stop yet another threat of demons from engulfing the land.
Compared to the tankier Paladin inDiablo 2, the multi-faceted nature of theCrusader inDiablo Immortalmakes them arguably the best PVP Class overall. They possess both single-target and AOE options to accommodate most combat settings, but their special emphasis on crowd control on top of their innate defensibility gives them an incredible advantage when contending against multiple foes at once.
