Summary

Blizzard has revealed the full patch notes for theDiablo 4patch 1.1.1. This details all the major changes coming to the game, almost a week before theDiablo 4patch 1.1.1actually goes live.

Blizzard developers detailed theDiablo 4patch 1.1.1 in a recent Campfire Chat, which included some pressing changes that the community had requested. For instance, the community was disappointed with the buggy behavior of Mounts in the game, which is something this patch aims to rectify. Apart from this, it also looks tobalance Sorcerers and Barbarians inDiablo 4after players complained about the unnecessary nerfs these classes received with the Season 1 update. Now, Blizzard has revealed all the other important changes arriving with patch 1.1.1, which will seemingly balance the gameplay experience.

Along with class-specific changes, several gameplay updates were detailed, where monster density changes for Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides inDiablo 4were the most notable. For instance, bosses at level 80 will now have 50% increased health, and this percentage keeps scaling till the point where level 150 bosses will have 150% increased health. Additionally, Level 35 and higher bosses will now have a 100% chance to drop a legendary item. Furthermore, Treasure Goblins starting at level 15 and Legion Events starting at level 35 now guarantee a legendary item drop. The community hashighlighted the itemization problem inDiablo 4, and while guaranteed drops don’t fully solve issue, it is promising to know that Blizzard is looking into it.

Aside from these, Blizzard is also tweaking the in-game economy by reducing the refund cost for Paragon Board and Skill points. Players have complained that thegold economy inDiablo 4is quite harsh, where one player spent nearly 9 million gold to respec their Paragon Board. Thankfully, this is being addressed with the upcoming patch, where the cost reduction will start at lower levels and will go up to a maximum of 40% when the player reaches level 100. Several players had also complained about the teleportation time increase from 3 seconds to 5 seconds, which has now been reverted.

The patch also includes extensive bug fixes across character classes, dungeons, and open world as well. The Season 1 patch might’ve been disastrous for Blizzard initially, but the developer swiftly responded to player feedback and made the necessary changes as well. Moreover, it is also seemingly looking to strengthen its ranks byhiring a lead season designer forDiablo 4, possibly to avoid the mistakes it made with Season 1.

CLASS BALANCE UPDATES

Hello wanderer, welcome to Patch 1.1.1!

We’ve made quite a few balance adjustments to Classes. Our goals with this patch are as follows:

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

Monster Density

We are increasing monster density in Nightmare Dungeons and in Helltide.

Bosses and Events

Developer’s Note:We are making adjustments to the health values of high-level boss monsters.

Developer’s Note:Leave Dungeon ability was being used as another method of easy escape from danger in dungeons, particularly for Hardcore players. However, we recognize that this is outweighed by the downside of the game feeling less responsive. We’ve heard your feedback, and are reversing this change.

Developer’s Note:The previous tooltip was a bit misleading as it did not consume the entirety of your mana pool. It will consume as much as it can depending on the number rolled on the affix.

UI
