Summary

Diablo 4has revealed the patch notes for update 1.4.1, and the biggest change is a reduction in the gold cost of the Masteworking system.Diablo 4’s crafting system will get further adjustments, along with various bug fixes and other improvements to several aspects of the game.

Blizzard made a significant overhaul with the release ofDiablo 4Season 4by introducing powerful changes to the game’s itemization. Part of the changes included the introduction of Masterworking, a crafting system available inDiablo 4’s End Game that allows players to increase the value of existing Affixes. To use the system,Diablo 4players need to collect the materials in the Nightmare Dungeon called The Pit of the Artificers, a bit of luck, and then adjust their equipment to fit their character’s build perfectly. However, Masteworking has been the target of some criticism, andDiablo 4is finally addressing it.

Diablo 4has detailed update 1.4.1 patch notes, and one of the highlights is the change in the cost of Masteworking, which will be lowered. After the update, which arrives this Tuesday, May 28, Masteworking materials can be transmuted directly, eliminating the need to open the Materials Cache to get them. Once aDiablo 4player unlocks Masteworking for one character, the feature will be available to all characters across all realms. While nothing changes at ranks 1-4,usingDiablo 4’s Masterworking systemwill consume less gold at rank 5 (450,00 to 400,000), rank 8 (1,000,000 to 800,000), and rank 12 (10,000,000 to 2,500,000).

Diablo 4 Update Addresses Players' Issues with Masterworking and More

With adjustments to the Masterworking system and a reduction in the cost of gold,Diablo 4update 1.4.1 will increase the drop rate of Scattered Prisms in different sources. Treasure goblins will now drop Scattered Prisms more frequently, while the drop rate inDiablo 4’s World Tierswill increase according to tier. This way,Diablo 4players will have a 15% chance of getting Scattered Prisms in World Tiers I and II, a 25% chance in World Tier III, and a 30% chance in World Tier IV.

The high cost of gold to use Masteworking has been a recurring criticism of theDiablo 4community, which considers it discouraging for players who want to create and test new builds. With the system becoming cheaper and easier to use, Blizzard has made an important change to make Masteworking more accessible. With the devs addressing this feedback, the community waits to know whatrequests for changes toDiablo 4may be addressed in future updates.
