For a while, its perk was broken and not working at all, and even after the fix, it seems to be underperforming when compared to its intent. At the moment it’s a good gun that’s unfortunately outclassed by better guns like Dead Man’s Tale. That being said it is absolutely worth obtaining for beginners as this article now points out in a new section. There is also mention of the weapon’s stats and perks which should explain the potential this weapon should have. In time it may become a monster, but this does require some detraining of instinctual headshots that most players have developed by now.

Any Guardian found in any Crucible match has a chance of dropping. Clash matches are a solid way to farm for Guardian kills as players tend to take more risks as the timer runs low. Anything that nets lots of Guardian kills is best.

It’s strongly recommended to find a solid team when diving into Crucible modes for Catalyst farming purposes. It’ll also come in handy when grinding for 250 kills later. Players should also make note of what seasonal goals are tied to Crucible and chase those down as well.

The Jade RabbitCatalystin theory should never run out of ammo if used properly. Chaining body shots will raise the damage on a precision shot that will refill some of the weapon’s magazine. In reality this weapon will eventually run dry and force the player to reload. How long this takes entirely depends on how careful the player is using it.
In PVP this is very tough to pull off. Players trying to get a Precision shot after every fourth or fifth body shot are going to have a rough time of it. There’s also the fact that most players are naturally inclined to shoot the head first. Unlearning this habit of going for headshots is key tothe Jade Rabbitand also the most frustrating aspect to remember in PVP.
In PVE it’s a little more forgiving. Reloading between waves or encounters isn’t a big deal and players should be able to keep it full during most firefights. Again the problem of body shots first and headshots after can be an issue.
In the end, this weapon requires the player to go against their instincts and fight differently while carefully managing their shots to get the perks. All to be a strong B tier weapon. With that in mind, it’s better to go with an A or even S tier weapon with less micromanagement. Beginners may prefer this weapon as it’s very forgiving for missing headshots initially.
