After a relatively quiet week in the world ofDestiny 2, Bungie is reigniting the flames of competition as the Faction Rally once again descends on the tower. Things are a little different this time around however as Bungie added in farming prevention methods bylowering token counts for public events, adding them to Lost Sector chests, and increasing the number of tokens earned as strike rewards. Will Dead Orbit once again reign supreme, or will New Monarchy or Future War Cult grab the crown this time? Players have the next seven days to determine the outcome.

Unfortunately, some PC players won’t be experiencing the Faction Rally this week asa fresh set of bans have come down. Though Bungie claims to be more confident in the review process this time around, many players continue to cry foul over this new round of bans. Like the first wave, banned players mentioned that they were using third party applications which worked fine with other Blizzard games likeOverwatchorHeroes of the Storm.

Destiny 2 Faction Rally November 2017 big changes

With Tuesday finally here, the weekly reset has returned to the world ofDestiny 2.Refreshed milestones and new content are once again active this week, and we have the full set of information regarding all of these new things to do for the week of July 25, 2025.

Weekly Nightfall Strike

This week in the Nightfall, players are returning toThe Inverted Spire on Nessus. This is a strike that players should be very familiar with at this point since it was the featured strike during both beta tests forDestiny 2earlier this year.

The strategy for this strike hasn’t changed very much since launch as players will still face their fair share of Vex and Cabal enemies. Storming the heart of a massive drilling site, players will often find themselves in the middle of a full-scale war between the Vex and Cabal. This process is fairly straightforward so players should continue to move while taking out enemies. Make sure to avoid the massive drills after bypassing the Transit System.

The final boss is Protheon, a massive Vex minotaur who enjoys turning the floor into a lava pit or outright dissolving it. Shoot its head to score critical hit damage and ensure to continue moving to avoid the floor and waves of common enemies that also flood the area. After a third of its health is gone, the floor will dissolve, transitioning the battle to a new arena and the next phase. Use the spires to avoid the damaging floor and explosions.

Once the boss is down to half health, the floor dissolves again and the final phase begins. For a risky but effective strategy, equip a Riskrunnerand stand in the damaging arc pool to unload heaps of damage thanks to its passive ability. Before going down, the bosses head will pop off making it move much faster and opening a new weak spot on its stomach. Finish it off to end the mission.

The player challenges for this week are:

Flashpoint Location and Treasure Maps

At this point, the Flashpoint pattern has become pretty clear with players heading to Nessus this week. As expected, players can complete this milestone by taking part in various public events around the planetoid. Successfully finishing the event grants more completion, thoughHeroic eventshelp get the job done much faster, so players are encouraged to enable these events as often as they can. Once finished, head back to Cayde-6 to turn it in and earn a luminous planetary engram.

As always, visit Cayde-6 before venturing out to grab his weekly treasure maps to his stashes also set on Nessus. Cayde’s Stashes offer players a mixed bag of loot, ranging from simple rare items, to loot that can be turned in for glimmer, to more interesting things like new emblems and potential exotic engrams. Players are urged to take their time opening each of the five chests due to Bungie’s forcedchest lockout timer, which essentially removes the ability to earn a reward for players that open too many chests consecutively. To help reset the world timer, players should perform different activities such as a public event or other missions.

destiny 2 leviathan raid glitch

Here are the five general stash locations this week on Nessus:

Leviathan Raid Encounter Order/Weekly Challenge

As it is each and every reset, the Leviathan Raidencounter order has once again changed. The long-term goal of this policy helps keep the mode fresh for players continually going in, but it also helps newer players get used to the Raid and gives them an opportunity to play each part even if struggling.

The Gauntlet Challenge is also active this week and completing it requires some specific strategies. Read ourGauntlet challenge guidefor more.

This week, the order is as follows:

Lord Shaxx Crucible Milestone

Last but not least comes the weekly Call to Arms. This Crucible oriented milestone requires that players participate anywhere between 4-6 PvP matches from eitherthe Quickplay or Competitive playlists. Finish the milestone and return to Shaxx to earn his weekly engram.

Call to Arms- Win glory by participating in Crucible matches.

And that’s all for this week, Guardians. Enjoy!
