The Subjunctive SMG is one of the returning weapons from Season of the Undying thatDestiny 2players can grind for in Season of the Wish. Its refreshed perk pool has a few new things to offer, including some excellent options for PvE.

While this SMG might pale in comparison to someother more popular picks, it still does its job well enough to warrant some vault space, especially if players like the weapon’s design and feel. Here are a few god rolls to consider when farming for the Subjunctive.

Best Subjunctive SMG Perks

Subjunctive is a 900 RPM SMG that’s catered more toward the PVE side ofDestiny 2.Its poor range makes it less than ideal for gunfights in the Crucible, and very few of its perks can help it win fights against other Guardians. On the bright side, it can melt PvE combatants relatively quickly, especially those that are weak to Arc damage.

Swashbuckler/Golden Tricorn

Handling

Voltshotis an easy pickwhen it comes to primary weapons. Its damage potential against groups and single targets is excellent thanks to how Jolt works, and Subjunctive’s high RPM means it can trigger chain lightning bolts more frequently. Pair this withStats For Allto get massively increased stats for as long as there are at least three targets on the screen. For this roll, it’s best to max out the weapon’s range so it can reach targets without suffering from damage falloff.

For players who are looking to make an ability-focused build, they can use a Subjunctive withGrave RobberandSwashbuckler. This roll won’t provide ability energy like a weapon with Pugilist, but it works in tandem with low-cooldown builds by essentially eliminating the need to reload while gaining a ~33% bonus to bullet damage. Hunters with Combination Blow can easily take advantage of such a perk roll, though the other classes should be able to do the same if they use the right Exotic armor pieces.

Golden Tricornis a good alternative to Swashbuckler, especially since it provides a bigger damage boost when fully stacked. However, this will limit players tousing an Arc subclassas it requires ability kills of the same element as the weapon.
