Destiny 2’s Season of the Splicer is finally here and Guardians are eager to jump into the new content from the season. However, that may be easier said than done. Many Guardians have had a tough time logging intoDestiny 2, being met with persistent Honeydew errors.
While Guardians are familiar with the inevitable server failure on day 1 of a new season, it is still not something Guardians want to see when trying to access a new season’s content. Previous season launches have been hindered in the same manner so while theDestiny 2errors are annoying, they are not surprising.

Honeydew is an error code that Guardians will encounter when public access to an activity inDestiny 2has been manually overridden by Bungie. Bungie’s website states that this may occur if an issue has been found, or if an activity has been taken offline prior to aDestinyUpdate.
While this information lets Guardians know it is not a problem on their end and that they do not need to do anything with their hardware, this also means that it is a problem on Bungie’s end. While this is good news about player hardware, it also means that Guardians do not have a way to fix these errors themselves and will have towait on Bungie to get these Honeydew error codes under control.
For Guardians encountering these error codes, they can try loading into a different activity to mitigate the errors. There are new Stasis Aspects and Fragments for Guardians to acquire, which may be something they can do while Bungie works on addressing the Honeydew error code.
For many Guardians, these error codes are frustrating to deal with; however, they are not permanent and will be fixed so all Guardians can enjoy the new Seasonal Content offered withDestiny 2, Season of the Splicer. Bungie has mentioned that it is seeing stability and fewer errors, a good thing forGuardians looking to start the new Season of the Splicer.
Hopefully, the Honeydew error code will already be fixed when Guardians read this. If it is not, Guardians must simply wait or take part in other activities such as Crucible or grind their light level to the new Power Level cap of 1310 orPinnacle Level cap of 1320 for Season of the Splicer.
