Demon’s Soulsand other games in the genre it spawned are notorious for their ultra-tough boss battles. These boss battles are designed to push players' skills to their limit, often requiring players to do some level-grinding or spend their souls to purchase helpful items beforehand. While theDemon’s Soulsboss battles are usually pretty tough, there are ways that players can make them easier or outright cheese them.
One boss thatDemon’s Soulsplayers can cheese is the Leechmonger boss. TheDemon’s SoulsLeechmonger boss is encountered in the Valley of Defilement, accessible through the Archstone of the Chieftain. Players will encounter the Leechmonger before too long, with the boss looking like a giant mass of leeches. The challenging way of facing the Leechmonger is to use the wooden planks to make one’s way to the bottom of the pit and then face it head-on, but that is dangerous and will likely see the player character get poisoned.

The easy way to beat the Leechmonger boss inDemon’s Soulsis to make sure the player character has anoffensive spell like Soul Ray or Fire Sprayequipped, along with plenty of spices to replenish MP. From the starting area, head to the left and there will be a perch. Players can then safely target the Leechmonger from high above and spam magic attacks at it. The Leechmonger will sometimes replenish its health, but if players spam the attacks enough, it should die eventually.
Better yet,Demon’s Soulsplayers should be able to do this without taking a single hit of damage. The Leechmonger will shoot balls of leeches up at them, but players should be completely protected by the perch. This method will make the Leechmonger one of the easiest bosses in all ofDemon’s Souls, if nottheeasiest boss. Though there are other ways tocheeseDemon’s Soulsbossesthat players should be aware of as well.
VeteranDemon’s Soulsplayers may already be aware of this method, but those who are playing throughDemon’s Soulsfor the first time on PS5 may not be aware of this strategy. And since there’s over a decade between theoriginalDemon’s Soulsrelease on PS3and the launch of the PS5 version, it’s safe to say that there may even be fans of the original game who don’t remember how to cheese this boss fight.
TheDemon’s Soulsremakeis one of the PS5’s first true exclusive games, so it will likely have some fresh players new to the franchise see what it’s all about. But with plenty ofboss strategy guidesout there, even those brand new to the franchise should be able to get through the game.
