Side questing inDead Island 2always reaps useful benefits. Slayers can take in the sights, bash in some brains, and get rewarded with useful loot that pays off in challenging the undead. Oftentimes, side questing inDead Island 2can be a bit of a scavenger hunt. There are plenty of keys, key cards, locked doors, and barred cages keeping the player from the objective, and it can occasionally be a bit time-consuming to sift through the remains of HELL-A to find the appropriate way forward.
InCold Pork, the slayer is tasked by Trent to investigate a nearby police station on Venice Beach to search for guns. While the station itself is relatively small, progress through this mission can be easily stilted if the player gets frustrated looking for keys.ThisDead Island 2walkthrough should helpto speed up the process.

The side quest can be accessed by talking to Trent after completing the main quest Red Mist and accessing the Blue Crab as a sort of hub for the Venice Beach area. Once Trent has given the player the quest, head to the beach as indicated by the map marker. The police station should be tough to miss.
Handle the undead copsthat roam outside and enter through the door as directed by the marker. Inside, the player will see a restroom straight ahead and a caged-in area on the left beside a door that leads into the main hallway for the police station.
The door on the left is maglocked. Look above the door to see the two path lines leading to the access points. The green path will lead to an electrical panel just out of reach behind the cage on the left.Toss a curveball or weaponto break it. The blue path from the maglock leads to the restroom. This electrical circuit is just behind the bathroom door, but be wary of the zombie ready to jump out.
Once both electrical panels are destroyed, head through and into the room on the left. Clear out the zombies and look to the desk immediately left of the door for the jail cell 2 key.
To the right of the entrance into this room, under a ‘To Do:’ sign, is the police department keycard that will unlock the other area of the police station and the exit on the far side of the building. Jail cell key 2will unlock aDead Island 2doorin the hallway. A zombie is eager to jumpscare, but once they have been dispatched, feel free to loot the spoils inside this cell room.
Proceed northeast through the hallway using the keycard on the security panel. There is a large gated area in this room that is locked and in need ofa storage room key. Head straight and to the right through the doorway, then turn left, and the storage room key will be sitting on the counter.
Now that the gate can be unlocked, the gun case is easy to find next to the dead police officer that lies inside. There are plenty of other goodies to find here, including a shotgun and a substantial amount of ammo.
There is also an officer’s lockbox inside here as well. The key to this can be found on a zombie named Officer Mckenzie just southwest of the police station toward the beach. If the officer does not spawn mid-mission, head back to Trent first, then return to that area to find the officer.
Now that the gun case has been procured, head back to Trentat the Blue Crab for the reward. Congratulations on completing Cold Pork.
