Not too long ago, an update to Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror gameDead by Daylightled to fans discovering leaked perks that teased the arrival ofAsh from theEvil Deadseries. Now, it looks as if the video game developer is indeed planning on bringing the horror film character into the game by way of DLC, and that it will be inspired by the now-cancelledAsh vs Evil Deadtelevision show.
This much has been confirmed according to signage seen at a booth that’s being set up and displayed at the gaming culture festival known as PAX East, with a hanging sign clearly showing the logos for bothDead by DaylightandAsh vs Evil Deadmarked side by side. As of now, however, it’s currently unclear exactly what kind ofAsh vs Evil Deadassets will be incorporated intoDead by Daylightaside from the aforementioned leaked perks.

Considering the fact that theDead by Daylightperks that were leaked were linked to Survivors in the game, it’s quite possible that Ash will be a playable character that one can assume the role of in order to attempt to survive against a Killer. If that is indeed the case, it will be interesting to see iftheDead by Daylightdeveloperdecides to add any of Ash’s iconic weaponry for use into the game, such as his chainsaw hand and “Boomstick” shotgun to keep a Killer at bay.
For those unaware, this won’t be the first instance ofDead by Daylightadding crossover materials from classic horror franchises as DLC for the game. As a matter of fact,Dead by Daylightadded Michael Myers fromHalloween,Freddy Krueger fromNightmare on Elm Street, and evenSaw’s Amanda Young as playable Killers just to name a few.
All things considered, it’s safe to presume plenty ofDead by Daylightfans will be intrigued to learn how and when Behaviour Interactive chooses to bringAsh vs Evil DeadDLC into the game. The studio has definitely kept the title stocked with post-launch materials, but of course, there’s always room for more.
Dead by Daylightis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is expected to release in Fall 2019 for Nintendo Switch.
