TheChainsaw Manmanga has earned quite a reputation among manga fans in recent years. The manga’s first part ended in December 2020, and an anime has been announced for later this year. Now official sources have confirmed thepopular horror comedy’s mangawill return soon for a second part, reportedly called GakkÅ-hen, or the School Arc in English.Chainsaw Mantells the story of Denji, who is forced into a life of killing devils to pay off his debts to the yakuza. To do this, he utilizes a pet devil of his own named Pochita. However, aftera deal is struck between the devils and the yakuzaDenji is murdered by a devil. His faithful pet Pochita fuses into Denji to save him, subsequently granting him Denji’s chainsaw-themed abilities. The anime will debut during the Fall 2022 season, however, the exact date has yet to be confirmed. The trailer has already received over 17 million viewsin anticipation of its releaseand has been confirmed to be animated by MAPPA Studios, who are best known for titles such asAttack on Titan: Final Season,Banana Fish, andJujutsu Kaisen.
The official Twitter account for Shounen Jump+ has confirmed that part two of the manga will start serializing on July 13th, and even have a link to the first five chapters ofChainsaw Manavailable for free, as well as the last three chapters, if you can read Japanese. You can however find links through the official English website for the same chapters through MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA.
Little is known about what will happen in part two, other than it being called the School Arc. It can be assumed it will becontinued from where the previous part left off, however, other manga titles such asJojo’s Bizarre AdventureandAttack on Titanhave featured time skips in-between parts, so it cannot be said for sure.
Reportedly, the author of the manga Tatsuki Fujimoto is co-writing a one-shot manga with Oto TÅda, who is known as the author and artist forTo Strip The Flesh, and the one-shot will be titledListen to Me Normallyon July 4th, 2020. Fujimoto has another 200-page one-shot book releasing on the same day titledGoodbye, Eri.
