Capcom promises to release three ‘major titles’ by the end of the year, with many speculating thatResident Evil 7could be one of the mysterious games.

This week,Capcomhas had lots to say about its finances, with the company revealing that, during the 12 months between April 2015 and March 2016, its net sales were $714 million – largely due to its digital re-releases and its DLC sales. Overall, net sales were up by 20% over the previous year, which is especially impressive as one of the company’s most highly anticipated games,Street Fighter 5, massively missed its sales target.

But Capcom hasn’t just spent the last few days celebrating its improved financials, though, as the company has now told investors how it plans to continue its successful run in the future. The company confirmed that it will release three “major titles” during the financial year, which ends on Jul 27, 2025.

One of these is aMonster Huntergame that is expected to sell around 2 million units. No details were offered about the newMHtitle, but with the franchise proving as popular as ever (2015 releaseMonster Hunter Xhas had 3 million digital sales on 3DS and mobile titleMonster Hunter Explorehas had 3 million downloads), that target certainly seems achievable.

Regarding the unannounced games on that list, Capcom didn’t offer any hints as to what those titles could be, but one popular theory is that “MajorTitle1” is a newResident Evilgame. Expected to sell 4 million units, it makes sense that this game would be a new entry in an existing Capcom franchise as opposed to a new IP, but that’s not the only reason why fans are convinced.

Capcom also recently revealed that it is planning a “full-scale offensive” for theResident Evilfranchisefor the second half of the year, though it’s unclear if the company was referring to the financial year or the second half of 2016. The company is already planningre-releases ofResident Evil 4,5and6and multiplayer title Umbrella Corps is also set to keepResifans occupied, but a release ofResident Evil 7is what many fans are asking for. Indeed, the hype alone for the title could carry the game to 4 million sales.

Other suggestions for “MajorTitle2” are newDead RisingorDevil May Crygames.Dead Rising 3sold one and a half million copies after just nine months on sale as an Xbox One exclusive, and perhaps Capcom expects a newDead Risinggame to hit 2 million if it releases on several platforms at once.DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Editionalso saw incredibly positive reviewsupon release, with many fans of the series hoping for a brand new game. Moreover, it could even be Capcom’s PS4 exclusiveDeep Down, with a trademark filing from earlier this year suggesting that Capcom only has until February 2017 to use the name ‘Deep Down’ commercially.
