Following its consistent track record, Infinity Ward released the latest update forModern Warfareearlier today. As mentioned before,Modern Warfareis currently still in Season One of its online road map. However, this update will most likely be one of the last updates in Season One, as the season is set to end February 11. Now, Season Two is on the horizon and leakers have already gone to workleaking new weapons and game modesforModern Warfare’s next online season.

This update has some general fixes to the game like weapon changes for the MP5, M4, M13, andCrossbow, which was recently addedto the multiplayer. Additionally, the update fixes spawn points for Shipment, and fixed an exploit for Ground War. Various graphical and modeling glitches were also fixed through this update.

However, the most interesting aspects of this update come through the playlist updates. First off, a custom Gunfight mode, appropriately named Gunfight Custom. In this mode, players can now create their own loadouts before jumping in. The team also added Deathmatch Domination, Shipment 24/7, and moved Capture the Flag to the Quick Play filter. Finally, the seasonal map, Winter Docks, was removed from playlists.

While not the most game-changing update, this update does add some interesting tweaks to the online landscape of the game, such as through the weapon and playlist changes. Thought he much rumoredbattle royale mode that may have leakedearlier this week probably won’t be seen anytime soon, it may finally make its debut when Season Two rolls around. Until then, players should make the most out of the last few weeks of Season One. The full list of patch notes are as follows:
