Call of Duty: Modern WarfareUpdate 1.12 added a variety of new content for fans of the popular first-person shooter to try, including fan favorite maps likeCall of Duty 4’s Shipment, the Cranked game mode, and more.Modern WarfareUpdate 1.12 also included a new version of the Docks Gunfight map called Winter Docks, giving the map a festive makeover and adding a variety of holiday-themed easter eggs. As it turns out, one of these easter eggs is actually quite disturbing.

To trigger this easter egg,Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefans have to quickly destroy the four snowmen that have been added to Winter Docks. Starting on the side of the map without the clock, players can spot two snowmen standing just outside of the map, behind the fences. On the opposite side of the map, players will be able to spot the next snowman on the roof, and then the final one will be against the far wall in plain sight.

OnceCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers have managed to destroy the four snowmen, the competitors in the match will now be wearing snowman-like carrot noses and top hats. The result is rather creepy-looking and unnatural, though it’s unclear if that was Infinity Ward’s intent or not.

TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfaresnowmen easter egg is just the one easter egg that’s been found on the new Winter Docks map. There’s also aSanta Claus easter eggwhere players can summon Captain Price on a sleigh being led by none other than Riley fromCall of Duty: Ghosts. This easter egg is even simpler to trigger than the snowmen one, as all it requires is for players to shoot the clock on the map when it strikes midnight.

The new Winter Docks map has some other quirks forCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans to check out as well. For example,Gunfight mapson Winter Docks start with a practice round where players can throw snowballs at each other, and these snowballs are still available throughout the match itself.

Infinity Ward really went all-out with theWinter Docks update, and it will be interesting to see if other holidays get the same treatment in the future.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
