Activision is getting extremely creative with their teasers for the upcomingCall of Duty. Slowly but surely are fans able to piece together exactly what is coming for the nextCall of Duty, rumored to be titled,Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. After severalModern Warfarein-game teasers,Call of Dutyis taking the teasers a step forward with mysterious crates being sent to members of the video game community.
Large black crateshave shown up at someCall of Dutyfans' doors in the past week, fitted with a combination lock, with the combination given out by Activision to all crate holders at the same time after four days. Now that the contents of the crate have been revealed, it may connect some dots for the future of theCall of Dutystory. The crates contain a 1950’s Slide Projector as well as 10 slide photos, and instructions that hold an extremely important clue to the teaser.

The instructions indicate the crate contents are top-secret documents and used to investigate a redacted location in the Ural Mountains. Each projector slide contains a cryptic picture, like a grid with various letters, or a map with one region highlighted.
Many believe that the slides reveal a code to the time period and location of the nextCall of Duty. Because the instructions call for an investigation in the Russian Ural Mountains, it furthers the theory that the nextCall of Dutywill be based on the Cold War. One fan found that one slide closely resembles Summit, a previousCall of Duty Black Opsmap that could return to the next title.
The crate instructions also request the distribution of the provided intelligence to operatives in the field. Some crate holders quickly put together that the manifest only has 10 items marked, but has a total of 15 listed. This means each crate contains 10 slides, but is missing five. Crate holders are encouraged to share their findings to attempt to put together all 15 slides and finding the hidden clue. It is expected that the hidden message will be found shortly, as the crates have only been unlocked for an hour.
This may be the bestCall of Dutyteaser yet, as content creators around the world are racing to solve a mysterious puzzle using an outdated 1950s projector. This may be the first time many of theseCall of Dutyfans are using a projector, but they are very hard at work trying to put together the clues of the crate.
