Infection Free Zoneis a promisingzombie survival gamein which players build and defend a growing civilization of survivors. The apocalyptic world, however, is difficult to survive in. Players must carefully manage their colony if they’re to avoid starvation and/or death at the hands of zombie hordes and vicious raiders.
There are manythings that beginners can do early onto ensure their survival inInfection Free Zone, but one of the best ways is to equip combat squads with onlythe best weaponsavailable. Some of these weapons are more situational than others, and while some are arguably more powerful, it’s important that players learn to strike a balance when it comes to weapon variety.

to access higher-quality weapons inInfection Free Zone, players will need to unlock and build a research center. This is an important objective for many reasons, but it also allows the player to research weapon production. However, it could be argued that other research options are better prioritized than new weapons. Regardless, players should be careful not to leave weapon production until it’s too late.

This weapon can be assigned tothe player’s various watchtowers, provided they have built any (which is highly recommended for defending against zombie attacks). This sustainable source of defense is great when used on wooden and metal towers, even when stronger weapons are available, as it can preserve ammo.

However, the bow is still the weakest weapon inInfection Free Zone. As a result, while it can be useful in the early stages of the game, players should aim to assign different weapons to their watchtowers later down the line.

This standard weapon may be a relatively low-tier firearm, but it certainly beats fighting zombies and raiders in up-close-and-personal melee combat. However, players will still need to ensure they keepthe ammunition of their squadsstocked up, or else they risk being forced into melee combat.

The pistol is a versatile weapon that can be great for exploring ruins and defending the base alike, but players will want to access the stronger weapons as soon as possible. This is due to the pistol’s relatively low range and damage.
In order to build new weapons, players will need an Arms Factory. However, basic tools are often required for this. For this reason, it’s best that playersinvest their research pointsin the Tool Factory before they begin researching various weapons. Building a consistent source of tools will allow the player to gain access to stronger weapons much faster, as they won’t have to rely on getting lucky while scavenging.

This weapon is best for close-quarters combat, though it’s also a great replacement for the pistol as it still has a longer range. Players who like to send their squads out on expeditions to loot buildings and rescue survivors should considerresearching the shotgunfirst.
This is because the shotgun is a great close-range weapon, thanks to its high damage. This ensures that squads can take out enemies quickly as they explore. However, the shotgun’s short range is a detriment to any squad attempting to defend the HQ.
Players gain access to the Shotgun and Assault Rifle research nodes at the same time. Although the Assault Rifle is arguably a more powerful weapon, players who intend on sending their squads further from the headquarters may want to consider investing in the Shotgun first, as it arguably improves the survivability of squad members.

Although the Assault Rifle doesn’t fire quite as fast as other weapons, such as the shotgun, its range and damage are massively superior. The high damage and long range make it a great weapon to equip guards with at watchtowers.
The Assault Rifle is not just a brilliant choice for guards, though. It’s also a versatile weapon for squad members. However, the slow fire rate can sometimes result inhordes taking out memberswho get caught in the open.

Despite having a low attack speed, the Sniper Rifle is arguably thestrongest weapon inInfection Free Zone. Its massive range allows wielders to attack their enemies from a great distance, potentially taking out dangerous foes before they even reach the walls of the player’s headquarters.
Furthermore, the Sniper Rifle’s high damage allows its wielders to take out higher threats much quicker than they would be able to with other weapon types. Sniper Rifles do require a fair amount of research to be able to produce, but it’s worth the investment.
It could be argued that players should use a range of weapons inInfection Free Zone, not just Sniper Rifles. For example, swarms of zombies may be able to get past the player’s defenses if they’re onlyequipped with Sniper Rifles, as the Snipers won’t be able to take the enemies out fast enough. Furthermore, shotguns are arguably more useful for squads that regularly scout abandoned buildings. For this reason, a good balance of weapon types is recommended.
