Zhongli is one of the best shielders in the game, where he easily provides unbreakable protection with 100% uptime. For that, many characters rise and fall in power because of the game’s constant Meta change. Zhongli suffered before from the lack of HP% Polearm as only Black Tassel was available to improve his shield. Now, there are new options for a better shield for Zhongli and a better performance overall. Here’s an updated list of thebest weapons for Zhongli in Genshin Impact.
7The Catch
“The Catch” can be obtained byexchanging some fish to the Inazuma Fishing Association inGenshin Impact. This weapon is amazing for any sub-DPS that relies on their Elemental Burst as it enhances Burst DMG and helps Energy restoration through its Energy Recharge sub-stat. ForZhongli, The Catch helps magnify his meteor damage and allows him to cast it more often, making it easy for players to petrify enemies on the battlefield frequently.
6Skyward Spine
Similar to other Energy Recharge weapons,Skyward Spineis also great for Zhongli as it eases his Energy restoration process. However,as a 5-starGenshin Impactweapon, Skyward Spine has a larger Base ATK, which means Zhongli will deal larger damage. Other than that, though, Skyward Spine offers nothing more to the Geo Archon as the rest of its passive is catered to support a main DPS.
5Rightful Reward
It’s not ideal to pair Zhongli with a healer, since he can carry the team’s sustainability with his unbreakable shield. However, sometimes players will pair Zhongli with characters likeFurina inGenshin Impact, who has some healing capabilities. Getting a certain amount of Energy every rotation helps Zhongli cast his Elemental Burst more often, which helps the team’s CC.
On the other hand, Rightful Reward’s passive is not that good for Zhongli when it comes to content like the Spiral Abyss. In these types of game modes, players want their character to do their job and rotate as fast as possible, and having Zhongli send down a meteor is the last thing players want for a fast rotation. For that,Rightful Rewardis only beneficial for Zhongli because of its 27% HP Sub-stat, but worth the investment since it’s an F2PFontaine forgeable weapon inGenshin Impact.
4Dialogues of the Desert Sages
Passive-wise,Dialogues of the Desert Sagesoffers nothing for Zhongli because he won’t healunless Zhongli is a C6. However, the F2P 4-star weapon carries a 41% HP Secondary Stat, which can be great for Zhongli’s shield inGenshin Impact. Most players should have the R5 version of the Dialogues of the Desert Sages Polearm since the weapon and its refinements were given as rewards for participating in the Alchemical Ascension Event inGenshin Impact4.5.
3Black Tassel
Black Tasselis amazing for Zhongli as it strengthens his HP stat. This Polearm is not the best in terms of damage, but if players are building their Zhongli to be a dedicatedGenshin Impactshielder, thenBlack Tassel is one of the best optionsfor him.
2Favonius Lance
Favonius Lanceis great to boost Zhongli as a support inGenshin Impact. It offers less damage output compared to other Polearms, but with Favonius Lance, Zhongli can help the entire team regenerate their Energy, taking on an extra role as aGenshin ImpactBattery.
1Staff of Homa
Staff of Homais the perfect weapon forZhongli. It grants HP stat that’llenhance his shield inGenshin Impact, but on top of that, the Polearm also converts some of that HP into ATK. This, accompanied by the weapon’s large CRIT DMG secondary stat, means that Zhongli will be enhanced in both offense and defense.
