This team combines thebest skills and traits from survivors, which makes it a perfect strong starting team for someone who wants to get a proper taste of how the game can be played efficiently, orsomeone who is trying different stylesuntil they find which fits them the best.
Vivien
She can make clothes like no other, since she has 4 times more speed when Crafting, from her Avid Tailor trait. She has 0 Combat and Construction, but she makes it up by having 2 (+) at Cooking, 1 (+) at Crafting, and 1 at Farming – although most players will choose to just have her make clothes all the time since she excels at it.
Quin
With a 5 in Construction, Quin is one of those survivors that once a player uses them, they find it hard to let them go. Expeditions take less time for him due to his Explorer trait, and he has a Cheerful Personality trait which keeps his Happiness always increased. The Combat is not great at 0 (-), but Cooking is at 1 and Crafting is at 3, which can help a lot when he is not building something or going on Expeditions.
Ken
Even if this is the only survivor in the team with Combat skills, the player would be A-OK. He has 7 (+) Combat, and with his Bloodlust trait, his happiness increases every time he kills something or generally observes death happening. His Experienced Scavenger Trait makes him find Scrap Metal twice as fast, and he also has 1 in Construction and 1 (+) in Crafting, so thankfully death is not his only interest.
Emelin
Emelin has 0 in Construction, but with Quin and Ken on the team, she doesn’t need to. She has a 5 (+) in Cooking though, and with her trait of Exquisite Cook which allows her to make even the simplest dishes taste amazing, she could have all the faults in the world, and she would still be useful. Also, her trait of Cheerful Personality which makes her have constant increased Happiness is quite handy when doing something she doesn’t necessarily enjoy. She also has 3 Combat and 3 Farming, which are amazing on their own.
2Need For Speed
If the player wants a fast game,then these survivorsare a must for a quick game that doesn’t “get hiccups” midway through and can flow steadily at a fast pace. It canbe a learning experiencealso, even for gamers that prefer a slower pace, to see what they could get from a survivor that has quick traits.
Laara
Laara has the traits of both an Avid Farmer, which makes her harvest and plant twice as fast, and she is also Hardworking, which makes her have a 25% more Movement speed. She is also excellent at Farming since she has a 5 there, and she is not terrible in the rest either (apart from Combat which she has a 0).
Talas
He shares the same trait as Laara, he is also Hardworking, so he is a lot faster than the rest, and has a Healthy trait, which means that he recovers health twice as fast and has +100 Health. The bad news is the Glutton trait, which means that he is also fast at getting hungry, 25% quicker than others to be exact.

Talas will do very well to be close to Emelin, since she can make even the simplest meals very tasty with her Exquisite Cook trait and her 5 (+) skill in Cooking. She will also be a ray of sunshine for the team since she has the Cheerful Personality trait which keeps her at a permanently increased Happiness. She is also good at Farming at 3, and Combat, again at 3.
Simon
Simon with his Fast Walker trait can increase his movement speed by 25%, which makes him a valuable survivor when the player cares about moving things quickly in the game. He also recovers Health twice as fast with his Healthy trait, and he has Thrombophilia, which makes Bleeding permanently decrease by 5 Health per hour.
1Slow And Steady Wins The Race
This team is terrible at Combat, but has many other qualities that can make fora slow and steady game, with a lot of opportunities for creating materials and making surethe team remains happyand never gets hungry or without proper clothes.
Krista
She is one of the characters that are Clumsy, so that will decrease her movement speed by 10%, but her Genius trait will give her boosts with the current Research progress. She has 0 Combat abilities, 1 in Crafting, 2 in Cooking, 0 (x) in Crafting (also her Clumsy trait will not allow her to do any Crafting), and 3 Farming.
Vivien is one of the most useful characters in the whole game because of how quickly she can Craft. She has the Avid Tailor trait, which allows her to craft 4 times faster than normal. She can’t do Healing tasks due to her Hemophobia, but she has 2 (+) in Cooking, 1 (+) in Crafting, and 1 in Farming.
Annette
Annette is the mother of Laara, so the two of them could -technically- work together well as a team. She has a Cooking 3 (+), a Crafting 1 (+), and a Farming 1, so she might not be the strongest tool in the box, but the fact that she makes everyone happy with her Compassionate trait and that with her Calming trait, she relaxes people around her (even the one she dislikes), makes her quite a valuable member of the team. She is a Slowpoke though, which means that movement speed is decreased by 25% - but worry not, her daughter makes up for it.
Laara, unlike her mother, is almost good at everything, apart from Combat, for which she has 0. But, she has 1 in Construction, 2 in Cooking, 1 in Crafting, and 5 in Farming, which, needless to say, is extremely valuable. She also has the Avid Farmer trait, which makes her seed and harvest plants twice as fast. She is the speeder of the team, with 25% more Movement speed and Manipulation efficiency.
