Dragon Agehas had itsfair share of entertaining charactersthat have interested players across the franchise. From the assortment of races that make up the world of Thedas to the classes they specialize in,Dragon Agehas some pretty incredible characters for players to get to know.

One category of characters that is in need of some attention is thevariety of rogues that have made up the franchise.From those that appear inDragon Age: Originsto the newer additions of the most recent title ofDragon Age: Inquisition, these characters are considered to be thebest rogues around.
8Sebastian Vael
Starting off strong, Sebastian Vael was a skilled archer as well as rogue that could join Hawke and the rest of their party withThe Exiled PrinceDLC inDragon Age 2. This royal prince is deadly with a bow and therefore specializes in the skill tree of Royal Archer, this allows Sebastian to withstand hits, distract enemies and easily attack with critical strikes from behind.
Besides the lethal rogue Sebastian can be for players, he is alsoan incredibly in-depth characterwith a lot of personality. Having to decide between his faith and loyalty to Andraste, or avenging the death of his family and taking up the throne makes Sebastian an interesting character that players enjoyed getting to know throughout the adventure of Hawke.
7Cole
Cole is a very complex character that appears inDragon Age: Inquisition. Some players may be very confused by this spirit that appears to look like a young man due to thecryptic lines he speaksin both in combat and around the main base of Skyhold.
However, one thing that cannot be denied is the deadly assassin the Ghost of the Spire actually is while making the most of his other worldly powers. Besides the amusing fact that unlike other rogues when using the invisibility Cole has a green hue to match his Fade origins he also specializes in the Assassin skill tree allowing for the most damaging strikes.
6The Arishok
Besides the usual companions of the main protagonists in theDragon Agefranchise. There is also an exciting variety of other rogues for the player to meet, as well as those that are sure to surprise the player when they find them. One fine example of this is the ginormous Arishok that the player may have to challenge to combat.

Surprisingly this ginormous Qunari actually fits into the class of Rogue, although he is likely to chase Hawke around the arena inDragon Age 2instead of taking a more secretive approach in the battle. This may actually be why he is called The Mad Ox in Tevinter as he simply uses the class of rogue to increase his crit chance.
5Sera
Having a Red Jenny companion is something many fans of theDragon Agefranchise were looking forward to inDragon Age: Inquisition. Arguably, many players felt that Sera didn’t fulfill this role for them due to her more laid-back personality as well as never really answering questions on the group she is a part of.
This aside, playerscannot deny the usefulnessof Sera in countless battles as an elf that uses various concoctions that she splashes over herself to not only protect from incoming damaging but also injure the enemy. Although when recruiting Sera she may mention favoring the bow, she can also make a brilliant duel-wielding rogue that is sure to bring the Tempest to the battlefield.
4Isabela
Being first met inDragon Age: Originsand later becoming a companion inDragon Age 2, Isabela not only helps the Warden learn the Duelist specialization but also proves how worthwhile of a subclass it is to players when protecting Hawke in battle.
Even when first meeting Isabela inDragon Age: Origins, she is seen easily dealing with three men that think they can push her around, already presenting her flawless mastery of what it means to be a Duelist before the players can even ask for her help. This continues to be a theme inDragon Age 2as she is seen again brawling when Hawke first meets her.
3Zevran Arainai
Unsurprisingly, another brilliant rogue of theDragon Agefranchise is the notorious flirtyelf known as Zevran Arainai. Throughout Dragon Age: Origins players learn about the many hands Zevran has passed through from being a child and his mother dying to being purchased by the Antivan Crows, an incredibly well-known assassin organization.

This is what leads him to meet the Warden where he essentially fails to kill them and their party. If pitying the elf, Zevran will become a member of the party and proving that his failure was a one time thing through his combat efficiency.
2Leliana
Leliana has made an appearance inthe original trilogyof theDragon Agefranchise. Through her role as a companion inDragon Age: Origins, her smell appearance inThe Exiled PrinceDLC as well as being the Spymaster of the Inquisitor inDragon Age: Inquisition.
In all three titles she is shown to be a skillful rogue that over the years has mastered her skills to help aid the Inquisition in ways others may not have the resolve to do. While players may get to choose her skills inDragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Inquisitionshows that even when near death Leliana is willing to give her all to survive or even sacrifice herself for others.
1Varric Tethras
However, by farone of the greatest roguesin the entireDragon Agefranchise is the much-loved storytelling Dwarf Varric Tethras and his trusty crossbow Bianca. Varric is seen as a companion in bothDragon Age 2andDragon Age: Inquisitionbeing shown alongside his crossbow which only he is allowed to wield.
This makes Varric a vital member of the team replacing many of the other rogue options in both games. In the second title he appears in his subclass even goes through an upgrade as he becomes an Artificer, allowing Varric to exploit traps to get a better advantage on his enemies instead of just the usual Marksman.
