RPGs always have a lot of random stuffthat can be used for battle and role-play, and plenty of useful or unique items get lost in the huge pile that accumulates in the camp storage or the player’s inventory.Baldur’s Gate 3, a role-playing game that took Larian Studios years to make, is an RPG that containsevery possible magical itemunder the Faerûnian sun, and plenty of them go overlooked.
These aren’t the kind of magical items that are difficult to acquire or find, but the ones that look ordinary or less useful, and are therefore discarded. Check those stats and abilities closely before selling that magical item to Volo orgiving it to Gale for a snack.

6Amulet Of Silvanus
A Spell That Cures A Variety Of Conditions
Restoration is a Level 2 Abjuration spell that Clerics, Paladins, and other healing classes often have in their spellbooks. Wizards and Sorcerers can access it if they learn it or choose it from a list, and Rangers have it as part of their support role. If a player wears theAmulet Of Silvanus, they can cast Restoration once per Short Rest, restoring both casts when they Long Rest.
Lesser Restorationdoesn’t restore health, but it resolves a list of other pesky conditions that hamper a character’s fighting or sneaking abilities. Diseased, Poisoned, Paralysed, and Blinded, along with a morning-after condition called Bloodless that afflictscharacters romancing vampires, can be cured using this spell.

5Corellan’s Grace

Corellan’s Graceis one of the first magical items that a character can find, easily purchased for a modest sum from Auntie Ethel in the Druid Grove, so it could be a nice meal for Gale eventually, but he should equip it for now. The stats make it look like a Monk’s staff, and it is, but the abilities it grants are just as useful for any character that doesn’t wear armor, which also includes most spellcasters and Barbarians.
Natural Pugilistis handy for the +1 attack bonus if the player gets caught in a melee situation and needs to use unarmed attack rolls to defend themselves.Unhampered Resistanceis even better, giving the caster a +2 AC as long as they don’t wear armor.

4Cloak Of Displacement

There aren’t a lot of cloaks in the game, but once players reach the big city, a few more appear, mostly in shops and with vendors. Danthelon’s Dancing Axe in Wyrm’s Crossing is one of the first places thatevery adventuring party needsto stop before making their way to downtown Baldur’s Gate, and that’s where players can buy theCloak of Displacement.
It’s a Rare quality cloak, of which there aren’t very many in the game to begin with, and it grants the wearer the passive abilityDisplacement. As soon as the wearer’s turn begins in combat, Displacement activates and gives their enemies Disadvantage on Attack roles. This is an ideal piece of gear for any character, especially those with a lower AC or one with a defender build.

3Potent Robe
A Reward From Alfira For The “Save The Tieflings” Quest
This clothing is often overlooked becauseit’s specific to charactersthat have a high Charisma, but when a Sorcerer, Warlock, or Bard does wear it, it’s one of the best chest pieces in the game. ThePotent Robeis also difficult to get because “Save the Teiflings” is a difficult quest that spans all three Acts, but if Tav and the refugees from the Grove can survive it, Alfira grants this clothing as reward.
Gregarious Casteradds the wearers Charisma modifier for their spell damage rolls.Well-Liked and Well-Fortifiedgive the wearer an AC bonus equal to their Charisma modifier, and this, combined with an additional +1 AC, makes it an ideal magical item for a Sorcerer, Bard, or Warlock.

2Marksmanship Hat

The design of theMarksmanship Hatresembles a relaxed Stetson or a narrow-brimmed version of those Aussie tracking hats, which makes it a cool item to have anyway. This simple Uncommon-quality item is easy to overlook, but for those building characters thatspecialize in ranged damage, it’s an essential addition to their inventory.
One of the less crypitally-named passive abilities,Marksmanshipgives the wearer a +1 bonus to thrown and ranged attack rolls. That can include characters that have weapons like spears or throwing daggers, along with archers and spellcasters.

1Ichorous Gloves
Found In A Metal Chest In The Back Room Of The Waning Moon
They’re only of Uncommon quality, and don’t have the benefits of medium or heavy armor, but the advantage here is that any character can equip theIchorous Gloves. The abilityIcorhous Corrosionis situational, so it’s handy to be able to give this to a character with some kind deal Acid damage ability.
Magical damagefrom a spell, arrow, thrown projectile, or a weapon enchanted with the ability to deal Acid damage, will trigger this item’s passive ability, Ichorous Corrosion, which surrounds the target in an acidic cloud that does damage over time. Various spells deal acid damage, such asAcid Splashand Melf’s Acid Arrow, as do physical weapons that are enchanted by Caustic Reprisal.
