Alongside a new and substantial update,Ark: Survival Evolvedwill soon be getting new servers on Xbox One, allowing more players to access the game’s multiplayer.
Dinosaur survival gameArk: Survival Evolvedis due to get over a hundred additional servers on the Xbox One, allowing players to access the game’s highly-populated multiplayer. At the moment, the popular title has several hundred active servers but nearly all of those are full, meaning that there’s a dire need for additional space.
Ark: Survival Evolved’s server structure is also being updated to V730.1, the first overall update to the game on Xbox Onesince its release last month. This update is set to bring the console version up to the PC game’s v231.9 and should be available right now for all players. The update, which launched yesterday, adds agiant, rideable kangarooto the game, as well as the following features:
Luckily for fans of the game, although the official servers are often completely full, players can still accessArk: Survival Evolved’s single-player mode, as well as join or host private servers. Soon players will also be able to play local multiplayer with their friends as developers Studio Wildcard have announced thatArkwill be receiving a split screen modein early 2016.
Despite being released only last month for the Xbox One, the dinosaur themed open-world game is reportedlyeven more popular on the consolethan it is on Steam. According to the game’s developers,Arkhas been downloaded over a million times since its December release. The PC version does have the advantage of a modding community, however, with one talented moddercreating a game ofPac-Manfor the computer-based players.
With a popular fan base such as the one thatArkholds, it’d make sense for the game to take advantage of the PC to Xbox One mod sharing functionality, especially as the developers appear to have a good relationship with Microsoft, so Xbox One players may be able to take advantage of the modding community’s work in the future.
Ark: Survival Evolvedis currently available in early access form for both PC and Xbox One. Its full release is scheduled for June 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
