In celebration of Mario Day on March 10,Animal Crossing: New Horizonslaunched a Mario Mission where players can win Mario-themed pins for free. To enter for a chance to win the pins, players will have to complete a task inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsby later this month, as well as other objectives.
Animal Crossing: New Horizonshad its first collaboration withSuper Mariorecently by bringing a number ofSuper Marioitems to the game, including Princess Peach’s Crown, Mario and Luigi’s Hats, the iconic green Pipe, and the Goal Pole. Some players have come up with creative ways to use the items, especially the Pipes, such as one player who made a functional subway system on their island. This collaboration also bodes well for other possibleAnimal Crossingcrossovers, such as one withLegend of Zeldaitems and characters that fans have been requesting for some time.

To participate inAnimal Crossing’s Mario Mission, players will first need to make sure their copy ofNew Horizonsis updated and able to go online as they’ll be traveling to another island for the event. After that, go to a bed inside the player’s home and sleep to get a visit from the NPC Luna, and when speaking to her,enter the Dream AddressDA-6382-1459-4417.
After doing so, players will be taken to the official NintendoNew Horizonsisland, which is the end of the mission. However, in order to beeligible to win theMariopin set, a number of other missions also need to be completed. Players can go to the Nintendo website to check out the other missions and keep track of how many they’ve completed.
Some of the other missions include making purchases, such as buying thepopular Nintendo titleSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, while others are more simple, such as playing a mini-game inAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp, a free mobile spinoff of theAnimal Crossingfranchise. Another easier task requires fans to find 5 hidden stickers on theSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furywebsite.
This specificMariomission lasts until March 24 at 7:59 PM PT, but players should receive the credit for completing the challenge within a week after the event is over. The credit will allow players to redeem the collectiveSuper Mario35th Anniversary pin set after completing enough missions.
But if players don’t want to go through the trouble of completing the many challenges, players can continuouslycelebrateSuper Mario’s 35th birthdaywith theSuper Marioitems inNew Horizons.
