Ramattra quickly became a fan favorite tank character inOverwatch 2with his arrival in the game’s second Season, and one artistic fan has imagined what the hero would look like as his own worst enemy: a human. The 36th character to appear inOverwatch 2,Ramattra represents another playable Omnic character and provides a much deeper insight into what these robotic warriors are actually capable of in battle.

Ramattra’s greatest strength duringOverwatch 2matcheslies in his versatility, with the hero able to switch between two primary forms during combat. His standard Omnic form allows him to cast durable barriers and attack with his long range Void Accelerator staff, allowing him and his team to make confident approaches toward enemy positions. When the situation calls for it, Ramattra can switch to his larger Nemesis Form, leveraging a devastating close range attack and block ability to become a defensive powerhouse instead. As the leader of the Omnic liberation group known as Null Sector, Ramattra is a steadfast character who fights to protect his kind from the humans' oppression.

His awesome design and contribution tothe expansive lore ofOverwatch 2quickly made Ramattra appealing to fans of the game, and the character has seen no shortage of impressive fan art since his debut. He continues to enjoy popularity among players even with the more recent release of Lifeweaver, and one fan named Silveme on Reddit shared their own artwork on the site featuring what they imagine Ramattra would look like if he was a human character instead. This fantastic piece of artwork demonstrates a clever effort in translating Ramattra’s facial design into human features, with the purple jaw of his metallic face being interpreted as a beard and the lights on his forehead being reimagined as a sort of tattoo or marking.

Though the style of gameplay that Ramattra offers as a hero remains appealing to many players, some fans suggest that he’s rather underwhelming in high-level matches compared to other available tank characters. This may have become a more common complaint following thechanges to tanks in the previous season ofOverwatch 2, though Blizzard is continuing in its efforts to improve balance between the game’s many heroes.

With Lifeweaver having joined the fight along withSeason 4 ofOverwatch 2, it’s clear that the game’s roster of heroes is continuing to grow with no signs of slowing down. While this certainly bodes well for the continued popularity ofOverwatch 2as a live-service game, players remain wary of how frequent character additions will affect the game’s balance in the long run, as many in the community remain dissatisfied with the state of hero balancing as it is.

Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
