It has been a while since we heard news for eitherAge of Empires 3: Definitive EditionorBattletoads. The former did have two closed beta sessions earlier in the year, while word onBattletoadshas been virtually nonexistent sincethe game’s announcement at last year’s E3.

However, it has been discovered that both games were rated in Australia yesterday, courtesy of Gematsu. The ratings themselves aren’t particularly surprising, with bothAge of Empires 3andBattletoadsreceiving PG ratings overall for containing mild violence.

Battletoads' listing also states that the game features crude humor and coarse language, but that sounds perfectly in line with the series.

While neither of these listings mention a release date, it does have some suspecting that they are close to release. At the beginning of the month,Battletoadsappeared on the Brazilian ratings board, followed byAge of Empires 3roughly a week later.

The two games may not necessarily release soon, but another popular theory is that they’ll feature at this week’s Xbox Games Showcase, as both games are being published by Microsoft.

So far, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed many games that will definitely be appearing at the showcase, with the exception ofHalo Infinite, where we will be seeing the first in-game footage. Other guesses for what will feature include the likes of a newForza Horizon,Hellblade 2, andPsychonauts 2.

There have beenrumors of a newFablegamebeing in the works and two insiders have suggested that it will be revealed at the event, but it’s important to take that information with a pinch of salt.

As forAge of Empiresfans, while a re-release of the third game will likely go down well, there has still been very little info regardingthe previously announcedAge of Empires 4.That game was first announced in 2017 but fans have heard next-to-nothing about it since, to the point where some seem to worry if the game is even still coming out.

It has been rumored that will release next year in 2021. If that’s the case, there is a slight chance that it will appear at the showcase too.
