Taking the RPG world and adding a fresh new mechanic thatkeeps the combat interesting the whole way through, it’s easy to miss a lot of things along the way. Right up to the endings,Bravely Default 2will keep certain content hidden, only discovered by the curious player.

Everyone wants to join in on the fun, from getting the most out of the story all the way down to finding some extra loot, the fans miss out on a lot when they stick to the main story. Luckily, committed players have already laid out the path and given everyone directions to some of the prime content in the game.
10Secret Ending
To even get a shot at this ending, players have to go through the bad ending first. As soon as you make it to the end, reload the game and answer no to fighting the real final boss. From hereplayers can go back and explore freely, leading them back to the gravesite at the end of the prologue.
Here players will have to fight a secret boss and defeat them, unlocking the final asterisk in the game. Once you’re all set, head back to the final boss and say that you’re ready for the real fight, giving players a look at a much happier way to wrap things up.
9Bravebearer Job
With 23 asterisk available throughout the regular game, Bravely Default 2 holds out and keeps the 24th locked until you’ve already gone through the bad ending. Heading back to Sir Sloane’s will unlock a final fight with the original Bravebearer, the 24th asterisk.
This job is one of the most versatile in the game, able to help the team from both an offensive and defensive angle. The user will quickly build up Brave points for the team andfill in a lot of the groups tactical gaps.
8Cutting The Grass
While most players have probably taken a swing or two at a few blades throughout their travels, most don’t know just how much loot you may get if you put some effort in.
While it might be one of the most toned down ways to go about it, this can also reveal items that players would otherwise have to through great lengths to get. Most of the time you’ll be chopping through small loot but either it all quickly stacks up or you stumble across a big jackpot for the hard work.
7Hephaestus Fight
One of the strangest looking bosses in the game, Hephaestus doesn’t look like he’s going to give you as much trouble as he does. Mostly because while he can damage all party members, he tends to focus on one anddeal huge damage, putting your team structure at risk.

Talking to the man one the East side of Holograd will trigger the quest, travelling to a mine to the north and working your way through. At the very end it’s time to stunlock the brute in place and unleash everything you have, dropping 4 Stars of the Abyss as a reward.
6The Excalibur Weapon
Most people have heard the name before but few know they can get their hands on it in-game, an extra weapon for those who can make it past the final boss. This means players will have to beat the Night’s Nexus before heading to Mag Mell and buying the legendary sword.
While it isn’t the heaviest damage dealer in the game, Excalibur more than pulls its weight on the battlefield, especially with it’s light element. Not to mention the design for the sword is worth having if only for the screenshots.
5Big Risks
Another one of the optional asterisks that most won’t stumble across, although it is the first optional job available. Players will have tocomplete a side questnamed ‘‘Taking a Gamble’’ in Savalon.
You will have to go into the gambling hall and work your way up throughthe ranks of a card game, ultimately beating Shirley who hold the asterisk for the job. Adding some flavour into your battles, the gambler can deliver massive rewards or wasted turns with every move.
4Slaying The Dragon
Not a fight that players want to take on lightly, Gwydion is an optional boss that most players only encounter as a helper, lending you a hand in the main quest at Rimedhal. Biting the hand that feeds you will come with some serious consequences, mostly because it bites back.

Once you have access to Rimedhal, walk up the stairs and exit to the graveyard. Here players will find another fight in Jormungand along the way, choosing one to focus on is the wisest choice. There will be a stone pillar to the left, once you approach one of the hardest fights in the game will begin.
3Ending The Game Early
Even players who search out all 3 endings haven’t found this, a quick way to cut out almost the entire story and end the game quickly. While most look at the early game boss as an impossible obstacle, following a careful strategy can take down the overpowered enemyat the end of the prologue.
While it’s a massive effort for such a green player, if you’re able to take down the 100,000 HP tank it will save you almost 3 days of playtime and some serious bragging rights. The ending isn’t exactly climactic but the huge win should be enough reward for experienced players.
2Freelancer Job
Another job that gets overlooked because of its lack offlashy abilities and game breaking moves, the Freelancer is overlooked and players miss out on a great addition to any team.
This will come in especially handy in the late game when the effects multiply,unlocking subclass specialties and buffing the entire jobwith all of the effort you will have put in throughout the game in other skills.
1Xolotl Fight
An optional boss in the late game, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that it’s an absolute beast to take on. Xolotl’s counters and devastating physical attacks make for a wild ride, especially when it can weaknesses and throw off the parties attack throughout the battle.
You can only get to this quest by speaking with Martha in the Serpents Grotto at the end of Chapter 6, taking players to the Frosty Forest and facing the menacing creature. If you manage to avoid its one shot deaths and come out the other side, you’ll get 2 growth eggs for the trouble.
